Add Hidden Fields to Acuity Scheduling widgets

Attributer is a little bit of code you add to your website. It tracks where your visitors are coming from (I.e. Paid Search, Paid Social, Organic Search, etc) and writes the data into hidden fields you add to your forms which is then captured in Hubspot.

In order for it to work, you need to add a series of hidden fields to the forms in your Acuity Scheduling widgets. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Add 6x fields to your scheduling widget

The first thing you need to do is add a series of custom form fields to your scheduling widget. The fields you need to add are:

• Channel
• Channel Drilldown 1
• Channel Drilldown 2
• Channel Drilldown 3
• Landing Page
• Landing Page Group

Step 2: Make the fields hidden

The next thing you need to do is hide these fields so that they don’t actually show to users on the booking widget.

The code you need to add is as follows:

Step 3: Get the Embed URL & Field ID’s for the new fields

Now that you’ve got the form successfully added to your booking widget and hidden from your website visitors, the next thing you need to do is get the field ID’s for each of the new form fields.

You can do this by following the instructions in this video:

Step 4: Embed the form on your site using our modified embed code

Finally, enter the various ID’s you captured in Step 3 into the boxes below to generate a modified embed code.

Once you’ve generated the code, copy and paste it on your website where you want the Acuity Scheduling widget to show.

Note: If you already have the widget embedded on your site, you will need to update it with this new embed code that contains the extra information Attributer needs to function.
