Getting Attributer to work with Hubspot

Unfortunately, Hubspot’s built-in form-building tool uses a very odd embed method to place a Hubspot form on your website.

This means that Attributer cannot work if you are using Hubspot’s native forms on your website.

Fortunately, there are some alternatives that will not only work with Attributer but offer much more flexibility and functionality.

If you are using WordPress

If you are using WordPress to power your website, there are a number of form-building plugins that you can use to create lead generation forms on your website and send them to Hubspot.

These include Gravity FormsWP FormsNinja Forms & Formidable Forms.

Not only do all of the above form building tools work with Attributer, but they are much more powerful than Hubspot’s basic form building tool and include:

  • Better spam protection
  • More types of fields and easier customization to suit your website
  • Better confirmation options, including sending emails to multiple addresses, customizing the emails, sending data to spreadsheets & other tools, etc.
  • Integrations with hundreds of other tools

If you are considering these options, we’d recommend Gravity Forms. It’s a great form-building tool, works perfectly with Attributer and it even has a dedicated Hubspot integration, making it basically the same as using a Hubspot form. Forms created in Gravity Forms will actually show up as Forms in Hubspot, will automatically create contacts & companies in Hubspot, can be used to trigger workflows & more. It’s exactly the same as if you had created the form in Hubspot, only you get much better form-building capabilities and the ability for it to work with Attributer.

If you are using another CMS

If you are using a different CMS to power your website (such as Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, etc), then these CMS systems have built-in form-building tools that will work with Attributer. See below for instructions:

These form-building tools are very similar to Hubspot’s form-building tool, and because they are part of your website-building tool they offer a lot more customization in terms of how the forms look and feel.

And of course, they can all be integrated with Hubspot using Zapier or with various plugins/add-ons.

If you need help with any of this, our team would be more than happy to get on a call and help you set up one of these new form tools on your website and integrate it with Attributer & Hubspot. You can contact us here.
